Reviews for: Conversation With A Legend
David A. Smith 8/25/01 . chapter 1
What a wonderful exploration of the Lar Gand character! The character development, the underlying sexual tension,... what a well written story! If only the comics had been half this good over the past few years!
Rick Peterson 4/16/01 . chapter 1
That is perhaps the most perfect and moving definition of ture heroism that I have ever read. I think I'm going to convert to Valorism.
Doc Robinson 4/8/01 . chapter 1
Oy vey you have Lar Gand down to a tea. I always regretted that the young V0alor died. I always amazed that Mon-El was able to replace him. A second thousand years in the Phantom Zone. Wow.

I love-love-love-love-love LoSH (*grew up on the stuff*), and so far I've really liked the directions they went in for Monel/Valor even though the constant rebooting got annoying after awhile. _ This is a wonderful fic, touching and whimsical at the same time! Keep up the good work!
Lamaur Stancil 8/1/00 . chapter 1
What I liked:

M'onel (Valor) probably has the best inner conflict of any of the Legionnaires of this reboot, so it was nice to read your story. I can tell you've followed Valor pretty faithly with all the background from his series and L.E.G.I.O.N. Since I didn't follow his exploits closely, it was nice to see the incidents with Lobo, Phase and Supergirl. Nice touches, too, on how his history was recorded.

What I didn't like:

M'onel's dialogue seems awfully out of character here, but maybe this jovial side of him was reflected in his own series, while it hasn't been in LSH.

The story is aptly titled, I guess, but I was hoping to see more action taken by M'onel or Triad. As it is just a conversation, it appears like it won't have any affect outside the four walls they were in.
