I'm not going to guess 'Uchiha Itachi', since clearly if you wanted us to be *sure* of our guess you'd have given more substantial hints. We're meant to think it might be Itachi, and that is possible: we have no idea what he was like four years before the Uchiha Massacre, which would be about right for the timing here, I think. Except that he'd be a bit strange for being such a prodigy and so highly advanced in the military for his age, and this Nameless Stranger certainly is a bit odd.

You should make a sequal to this story! It's such a cute fic! Like let them meet years later before he Naruto becomes a ninja and wonders out of the village and meets a missing nin named Itachi and finds out it was the same person as the one that saved him that day! -squel- I would so love it if he took Naruto with him! . . . . . . . . . . -blush- could you make it yaoi if you make a sequal? Please?

I think it's Itachi. Iruka has brown hair and tan skin, and in the summary Wowie-san decided to relate the character to Sasuke. But for all I know I could be completely wrong.

This story is awesome Wowie-san! I do hope you'll uncover the mystery man's identity though.

this makes me cry, when i think about how it was itachi that introduced him to ramen. and how itachi is evil. and, everytime i think of naruto eating ramen, i think of itachi... if naruto always eats ramen... do you think everytime he eats it... he thinks of itachi?

i'd like to think it's iruka but he's pale and all so i certainly am wrong. or not? ^_^ anyway, i do like the simplicity of it all; it hits the target, and the way you have started and ended your prose was really dramatic
