Aw! That's such a great rendition of Monk's pain! *tears up* I love how he completely lost it... I have a question, though. Has Sharona been his nurse since Trudy's death? ^.^' But, yeah, I loved this. Wonderful, and it gave me chills.

Emotions are hard to capture in writing, but I think you conveyed the feelings of Adrian Monk very well. Interesting use of song lyrics repeated to enhance feelings, instead of making the repetition irrelevant and boring..I agree with the other reviewer about the OCD problem. Maybe folding and refolding something, to make something "even" would be more in character than banging his head or tearing something up? Just suggestions...Good job! :)

...Didn't Adrian refuse to leave his house for three and a half years? And then, wasn't it Sharona that brought him out?

Despite that, it's a sweet story. I love Dashboard Confessional (and I love that song), and I like the section that involves his reinstatement interviews.

.-. Obsessive Compulsives deal with pain and distress by putting things into order or counting. To tear everything up goes out of character.
