FuzzyBoots 2008-07-09 . chapter 1Hah! Cute ending. I figured you were going to make a joke about the low fecundity of pandas, but instead you do the grammar joke... |
Porthos112 2006-08-13 . chapter 1Nice build-up to the punchline, seen it done before, with a wombat as the animal, where the punchline is eats, roots(Aussie slang for sex) and leaves. Seems to be an Australian thing also works with just about any herbivore that God created. Still funny though. |
Frogger 2005-08-17 . chapter 1 "Panda. n. - Ailuropoda melanoleuca. An ursine mammal indigenous to the mountains of China and Tibet, with distinctive black and white markings. Eats[,] shoots[,] and leaves."
That's really bad. Hilarious and probably fairly true, but that's really really bad. |
Sachi 2005-07-24 . chapter 1 *cracks up* That was funny.. Thank you! ^^ I needed a good laugh tonight. |
 Lord Yenma 2005-05-05 . chapter 1Hilarious!
Eats shoots and leaves
Eats, shoots, and leaves
Cracks me up! |
 MaZe-Pallas 2004-12-10 . chapter 1Lol! Nice catch. |
insert funky name 2004-09-11 . chapter 1great story, but that joke has been done to DEATH |
 obsidian-fox 2004-08-30 . chapter 1Haha. I like the definition.
Genma isn't particularly lazy, however; not only did he take care of his son for ten years and fight every day, but he also does all sorts of work in the series:
1) He works part-time at Dr. Tofu's
2) He chases his son down to give him his bento
3) He jogs regularly (usually as a panda)
4) He chops wood
That is, half the time you see Genma, in the Manga at least, he isn't being lazy. He's often doing chores or training with his son.
However, the fandom description sticks. |
Charles Stitman 2004-08-30 . chapter 1 I've heard the joke before with a Koala. |
aondehafka 2004-08-28 . chapter 1 I can't remember the last time I laughed out loud this hard at something not written by someone getting paid to be funny. Thank you very much. The joke was even better because I overlooked the 'humor' classification and was thinking this was some kind of short introspective look into the deep nature of Genma.
Seldom has it been this good to be this wrong. |
Kathleen 2004-08-28 . chapter 1 Gah. Gaah. You didn't have to do that. Bad puns! Bad puns bad! |
 limelie 2004-08-28 . chapter 1Hilariously cold! |
 dogbertcarroll 2004-08-28 . chapter 1*chuckle* Nice work. |
 A.Nonymous 2004-08-28 . chapter 1 So...you're indulging your "inner stickler?"
Way to much time watching C-SPAN...
I saw the author of that book interviewed on C-SPAN.
I like the fact that you didn't mistake, as so many others do, that Genma is GLUTTONY, not SLOTH. |
 _wInd_ 2004-08-28 . chapter 1 hahahahah!...
why am i laughing about a cold joke??
i don't know.. |
