Poor Aragorn, it may have been an Elflings game, but he just proved himself as good as an Elf, if what Legolas says is true, that even grown those who surived the challenge look back on it proudly.

It was a fun story. I like the way you are exploring the dynamics between Legolas and Aragorn. Aragorn is trying so hard to live up to elven standards and to prove himself! Your view offers a nice explanation of Aragorn's later abilities: it is not just his birth as the heir of Isildur that gives him his strength and abilities but also his constant struggle as a youth to compete with his elven brethren. Although he does seem to fall a little bit short in this story...loved the sweaty Aragorn squeezing through the tight tunnel and then teatering on the edge...
