Great Story, I like, but then I'm a sucker for Ami/Makoto pairings. Just one thing doesn't ring quite true. Being Japanese the odds are Ami is most likely Christian, Shinto, aethiest or agnostic and is alot more likely to invoke God (in the Judeo-Christian sense), the kami or a specific Japanses deity (Amaterasu maybe, I dont know many tradtional Japanese deities). I'm not insulting your beliefs, I'm just saying that it would fit the story better.
