avelblue 2005-09-26 . chapter 8Hm...very nice pacing on this story, flows wonderfully and is a very easy read for the most part. This does however seem to be another fic where the ending seems just a bit too rushed and the realism of the story seems to suffer as a result...to be honest, as much as I like Inas (and he happens to now be one of my fav characters by you) I sort of wanted to see what would happen if he died...it just seemed like that was going to happen. Not as an execution or anything, but something in a blind rage. Personally I jus' dunno if Trat could let go a murder so easily...and to have it all change that much seems a bit too optimistic for me (yes, pessimistic outlook on Redwall, I know).
Anyways, by no means does this take away from the buildup of this story which I thought was just about perfect for the matierial covered. Only thing I'd like to see is an alternate ending of sorts. Oh well, nice job here, Kayla.

avelblue 2005-09-26 . chapter 3Ha, knew that there was a fic by you that I started, but never finished (an' one on a subject I find very interesting as well). Anyways, nice job so far, the introduction of Martin in the weasel's dreams was a very nice touch. Only really major crit I have is that the dream sequences seem a bit too real and aren't really introduced which made me think that time jumped suddenly, but it seems like that may have been on purpose...sort of the bait and switch philosophy (which goes for Inas' 'father' as well).
Well, nice job so far. I look forward to reading some more of this fic soon.

Nomia 2005-09-03 . chapter 1Your stories are brilliant! Who cares if BJ wouldn't do that; some one should. I'm glad you've decided to write with such veiws, because you are a fantastic writer. I love your style and the effort you put into your writing to make it so flawless. |
MadRabbit 2005-06-25 . chapter 8I love this story... It's so great (Weasels are cool). It's on my faves and so are you! |
pyrrhic victory 2005-06-12 . chapter 1Ah, the beginning of this got to me. I live in Texas, so I’m familiar with heat like that. That ‘you’re already dead, so what’re you doing still standing’ heat. No fun to pull weeds in. I pity Inas greatly.
I really like the idea behind this so far. Slave driver squirrels and tormented weasels…yes, very interesting. Especially the fact that the description of Issvor Turack made him seem fairer than Aeno, who, being a warrior of Redwall and whatnot, is the typical Redwall hero and should be a great shining beacon of justice, the epitome of righteousness, and so on and so on.
I did notice a few places missing a coma, but only at the beginning, and nothing extreme at all.
I’m curious to see where this goes, but, unfortunately, sleep is somewhat of a necessity. Anyway, loved it so far and will review more later. |
Maiden of the BH 2004-11-18 . chapter 8Aw! How fitting! I love the style of this chapter. It feels like I'm really reading the last chapter of a Redwall book. Yay for recorders!
Hey, could you please review the 6th chapter of Swike's Story? It only has two reviews. I didn't think it was that bad. The next chapter is really when things get moving. |
Maiden of the BH 2004-11-18 . chapter 7Yay! Inas isn't going to die! That makes me happy.
This was yet another good chapter. Except for the end when you said that Trat had started his trip to being healed of brainwashing, it was all very believeable and just felt right. |
Maiden of the BH 2004-11-18 . chapter 6I'm really sorry for taking so long to review more of this story! I've just been so busy with school and everything. I hope you didn't think I wasn't going to review!
This chapter was really good. I liked how Martin didn't let Inas walk away from Redwall. I've always thought there should be more supernatural things going on in the Redwall books than just seers and dreams.
One thing was sort of confusing. I'm not sure how Trat and Brisband were tied up. I tried to imagine it, but nothing was coming to mind. Plus, you said that Fayal was not gentle and then that she was trying to not tie them up too tight. |
 Yuoofox 2004-10-24 . chapter 8Well done. :-) |
Maiden of the BH 2004-10-22 . chapter 5I like Fayal. I think she'll help Inas to see that all isn't lost. I wonder what it is that she plans to do though. |
 clara200 2004-10-18 . chapter 8very good I thought they would kill him |
Mind of Shadows 2004-10-18 . chapter 8This is definately a great way to end such a marvelous tale. I like the uniqueness of the fact that there is a Recorder entry on the epilogue, yet I do that on every other chapter with Redwall. But that doesn't matter much, does it?
..
I like the irony in the end of this story, which inspires me and definately proves that people...and woodland creatures alike...are good at heart, and offered such a job as Warrior is definately an honour, even if Inas declines it ^.-
..
Very, very nice story, as I said before. I can't wait to see what a great fanfiction writer as yourself can come up with next!
Epilogue: 9/10
Overall story: 9.5/10 I certainly hope you continue with your wonderful work. Thank you for your support on my stories ;-)

Mr. Nice Guy, Dr. Evil and...Jack 2004-10-16 . chapter 8 Mr. Nice Guy: Ah, I really loved this story. No flaws, no grammer problems i can see, and i got hooked till the end.
Dr. Evil: I didn't expect your story to end this fast, the story that is. I was expecting Inas travelling around mossflower and all, but i won't let that effect the final ratings, well, maybe it will.
Jack: Astounding, stupendous, but i felt a little anticlimatic at the end. Aw well. 8.5/10 |
xXShadowphaxXx 2004-10-16 . chapter 8eh, first thing ya say when ya see the word Epilogue, "No." Oh well, its really great that they saw. Now... if only this sort of situation could happen in bj's work... I love your writing really. Hope you continue writing. Who knows, they say sequels aren't as good as the first but you know, it wouldn't be bad to continue with these characters. You did it with the Silver Cheetah Wars and Tears of War and all that. WHy not here? |
xXShadowphaxXx 2004-10-10 . chapter 6Okay, I am now officially hooked on this story. He has a companion. That's good. It's really sort of sad that the Redwallers (the ones who came after Inas anyway) are blind to what really happened. You'd think they'd have more sense, but then, what can you expect? You can't. Expect the unexpected. Yes, keep writing please. |
