I thought I reviewed this story before, but I guessed I hadn't...So here it is:

I LOVED THIS. The writing is Kaiba through and through, and I especially loved this little bit at the end: "There is no love without hate and no hate without love. To feel something as strong as hate, one must acknowledge the existence of the other and attach a considerable amount of importance to them and their presence in one’s life." And the repetition lends a sort of poetic feel to the fic, which I especially like.

Uh, you also asked for constructive criticism, too...This is my only complaint: the fic gets a bit too repetitive at parts. But other than that, this fic is gorgeous writing.

It would be nice if I could write as well as you, too.

And yeah, I should end this awfully long review soon...

There is a fine line between hate and indifference. The opposite of love is indifference; not caring. To hate, one must first acknowledge. I know I heard that somewhere, and this story definitely shows it.

Excellent. The best Seto/Anzu one-shot I have ever read. I love oxymorons and definitely love the love/hate relationship. Weird? Not to me. Philosphical? Damn right.

Interesting. I'm not an Azureshipping fan--not simply 'not much' of one but really more not at all--but I was skimming random fics, and I AM a Kaiba fan, and I have no regrets about reading this and I think that's a good sign. I am unable to put my finger on 'why' precisely I like this but I did. I enjoyed reading it immensely.

It's nice to see Kaiba maintain his inability to love. I liked the characterization, the consistency, the irony. Obession is a good topic! Hate is a good topic! And passion is indeed passion. This is just, I think, a wonderful change from the typical pairing fic for me. Bravo and all that.

My only major complaint is the long, long listing part at the end. It's nice so see all the paralellism in Kaiba's feelings, but at the same time it kind of drags after a little while with all the repetition. I found myself sorely tempted to skip most of it.
