NineteenTwentyone 4/12/12 . chapter 1This is absolutely amazing. So beautifully written. I love the way Sirius thinks, and the way Remus is, and how well they go together. |
Kokkos 8/22/11 . chapter 1I love your portrayal of how Sirius really really wants Remus but doesn't quite knoe if he'll allow his touch. So sweet. |
mitani mont 2/10/10 . chapter 1That was really beautiful. You have such a melodic writing style. Many thanks, mitani mont x |
Mih Black 12/11/09 . chapter 1lovely *-* this is the BEST description of sexual interaction I've read. I don't know how to explain WHAT I like about it, it's just that... it's so magical! so amazing, so *real* ! i love it :) |
Shiny Objects 1/21/09 . chapter 1I like your first-person perspective, it works very well and captures the character, I think. And silly? No, definitely not. This one actually made my heart skip a beat or two. All the passion and love comes through. I can't wait to read more of your work. |
 Marauders-And-Lily-I-Love 11/16/08 . chapter 1This was absolutely amazing! |
xAnonx 10/12/08 . chapter 1Well, *this* was a great story! It was really cute, and well-written, sexy:P
Good job! |
 remuslives23 8/29/08 . chapter 1Incredible. :) Thank you. |
MinervaEvenstar 8/29/08 . chapter 1Oh. My. God. That was FANTASTIC! I's been a long time since I've read anything THAT amazing. It was slightly amusing, like with the toast, but more than anything it was beautiful. Your descriptions were brilliant, especially the part where they were out of their bodies and came back into them. It's just...wow! |
Vaoni 6/11/07 . chapter 1that was beautiful... I loved it, so very much! |
Pforte 6/20/06 . chapter 1Oh, I read this one on LJ, I'm quite sure. I fell in love with it immediately! It's brilliantly written, especially because first person POVs go so often so horribly wrong. There are so many beatiful and creative sentences that I won't even start to quote. |
FangQueen13 5/29/06 . chapter 1I think it likely that I've already reviewed this, since I read it now and remember reading it before and loving it...but hell I'll do it again. I love your uncertain Sirius - I feel like being "idiscreet" and sure of what he wants but not entirely sure how to go about getting it fits his character perfectly, way better than the typical "i'm smart and sexy and knowledgeable in all ways, plus I really am as cocky inside as I act" sirius less believable and less touching. GREAT piece |
Bottlebrush 1/3/06 . chapter 1I wouldn’t have believed I would so soon find another story I liked as much as “Sirius Laughed”, but here it is. This is very perceptive, in its description of how Sirius is now too inhibited to tease and pester Remus’s nose out of his book the way he would have done before. And it is so right that when they woke up after their evening in the forest, it was Sirius who was full of anxiety about the implications of what they had done, and Remus who was calm. And James – this is spot-on too. I do hate it when James is stupid or disbelieving or homophobic. I think he’d be just like this, accepting, happy for them both, but finding the whole thing a bit of a laugh. The way you have written the sex scene is brilliant; perfect clarity and delicacy. And the details fit so uncannily with what I already believed – Remus’s silence during sex, his exhaustion after it, that’s how I thought it must be. The first person from Sirius’s point of view is skilfully used to good effect showing what a wonderfully loving and generous person he is, without himself quite realising it. This story really is magic. |
Nekare 9/3/05 . chapter 1Oh God, this is so beautiful, and sad, and amazing, and I dont have enough words to describe it at its fullest. It's all a dance, the way Remus and Sirius move around each other, trying to go deeper, further. Lovely.
And the smut was so classy, too... |
 JulesFire 7/2/05 . chapter 1Oh, my God.
I feel ridiculous telling you how amazing you are, because all your reviewers seem to have taken care of that already; everything I say will just be redundant.
That said... after reading the companion fic to this, I of course moved hungrily on to this one. Perhaps I should have waited half an hour or something, because now all my nervey, ache-y emotions have taken over and I can't breathe properly.
Your humor really comes out in this one; like your other story, it's subtle and intelligent, and I find myself laughing out loud (a fact that makes me glad I'm home alone, as it's five in the morning and loud laughter followed by tearful proclamations of 'oh my god, this story...' would have been difficult to explain to my sister).
I don't know why, but I loved this paragraph:
"I have two extra wisdom teeth, too. Set right back behind the ones in front. It’s just a birth quirk. Peter can bend his thumb all the way back to his wrist, and James can wiggle his ears. Remus can come without making a sound. I can fuck like a bunny, apparently. We all have our little gifts."
Just sections like that, with that sort of dry, quirky humor, and the first person train of thought that's all over the place, but in a logical sense... Oh, and I love those character quirks you've come up with, like Sirius' fascination with Remus' scars, or the fact that Remus gets quieter instead of louder (that whole silent scream thing was brilliant, as was the puff of breath idea).
You have serious skills when it comes to writing the sexual stuff. It's so hard to find fanfiction authors who can write scenes like that without being vulgar or basic, if that makes sense; using crude terminology and the like... but you seem to do it effortlessly. It's just an extension of your poetry, which can only be reveled in...
Sorry about the extensiveness and frankness of this; as I mentioned, it's very late (or early, I guess...) and my internal editors are down. I'll round it off with an assertion of your brilliance and a promise to start reading your most recent fic tomorrow... or later today, I suppose :) Although I will try to control my enthusiasm a bit in any future reviews. |
