What a cute tale. I thought the ending kind of fit with everything. . .a little corney, yes, but it fit.

It's also refreshing to see a friend fic every now and then. I really love those because it implies romance, but doesn't quite get there.

I liked it. I actually think the ending is very Zelgadis: it seems incomplete and a bit sad, very much like his quest for his cure. Thank you for explaining what Sasurai meant. Your characterization was excellent; I especially liked when Zel was running his fingers through the sand. BTW, I think you meant material things when you said "menial things;objects or poessions". Keep writing!_
