Your dad sounds like my dad. My dad just LOVES making fun of whatever I happen to be watching - usually Digimon. He makes fun of their clothes (he refers to TK as "bucket-head"), the way they speak (blame the dubbers, I tell him), what happens, the way the characters are drawn... he even keeps on way after the show is finished. So I know how you feel...

That was cool and you are very literate. The conversation is the same type I have with my parents whenever they see me watching Digimon, and reading/writing fan fiction. You have the same opinions of why you watch digimon as I do. I like watching cartoons from time to time because I don't have to think of reasoning, its fun. I do have shows like "Friends" or "Will and Grace" that I have to watch, but I always need one cartoon show that I just become brainless when I watch. Like being a young kid again. And the show is great not because of the epic battles they fight with their digimon, but because of the characters. And now I sound obsessive. Oh well. A good st- conversation. Thanks for posting it up.

My parents have given up on understanding it and now just torment me. My mom's insistent on buying me Digimon bedsheets complete with a Matt Ishida throw pillow just to spite me. Nicki: Yup, your parents are warped.
