This is one of my favorite stories. I haven't read it since two or three years ago! Recently I refreshed my Meitantei Conan mania, and this isn't helping it stop. ;D

I loved this chapter, how you described Ran's emotions and reactions and how Conan tried to comfort her. Sad yet poignantly beautiful at the same time. My eyes were wet reading it.

And yes, Kira was a great character! I couldn't have guessed that he was based on Kaito, but it was sweet of him to say what he said.
