thats really unusual, focusing on what happened after the jellicle ball, a lot fo fanfictions that concentrate on post-ball focus enteriely on own characters that are the kittens of the jellicle we know. im really interested in this one, so please continue!

It sounds good (for a beginning), but maybe you shouldn't define your fic as "poignant" or "touching" before somebody has read it and given his/her review. Wait until the readers express their oppinion on your work.
