Wow! Utterely a truly brilliant story! The words fail me, in order to express how great this story is and how much I've throughly enjoyed reading these 27 chapters so far! I do hope that you plan to continue this brilliant story, once "real life" gives up the ghost for a little while, hehe!

I've always wonder why Harry never showed any social or emotional effects of the child abuse (let alone any physical abuse) in the canon stories. Have always believed that the Dursleys were extremely abusive to young canon Harry (even if he was never hit/beaten in the books), the suggestions were evident. However, the Dursleys certainly were socially and emotional abusive and neglectful to a young child placed in their care. If they so badly didn't want the child, why didn't they abandon him to an orphange? That's the reasons why I found your story both beautifully moving (had me in tears in parts) and laughing in others. The story was an emotional rollercoaster of a ride, which I'm throughly enjoying. Particularly the sensitive and understanding way that your dealing with child abuse and abuse Harry's suffered since rejoining the wizarding world! Everyone "expected" the boy-who-lived to be great at defense but certainly not in potions or herbology, and young Harry kept to those expectations and underachieved as he'd be taught by the Dursleys (never to be better than Dudley academically). Once again, brilliant story!
