i just finished your story and i must say i was impressed. you got the characters down to pat and the plot was pretty good. plus, you actually finished it and your a good writer. ^_^ it seems that every time i come across a good story the person never finishs it. :P anywho, loved you story and cant wait to read more of them!

Woah. What a compelling read. I found this fic and sat down and kept reading until I plowed through the whole thing. I don't think there's ever been another 37 chapters in a row that got my undivided attention like this.
I really appreciate the storytelling, the characterization, the pacing, the plot... The angst was so well written and not cheesily overdone, the characters were humanely flawed and you certainly succeeded with toyed with my feelings as a reader-- swinging back and forth between empathizing and grudging against certain characters as they develop, for one.
Your writing, and your proper use of English is incredible (in all I think I've only caught 2 or so typos, and that is an amazingly small number for a fic of this scale). In fact, your writing sets such standards, that I'm getting nervous writing this review-- I almost feel shameful for using improper grammar here!
Anyway, glad to have found this story and your writing, and I'm looking forward to reading more from you.

I've just come across one plot hole though... "That reminded him uncomfortably of his first and last encounter with Kanzeon Bosatsu." However, unless I'm mistaken (which is entirely possible) in your version this never happened because Sanzo never rushed infront of Goku to get stabbed in the gut to have her/him come down and do the blood transfusion.

Okay, so I know this fic is already complete, and the chapter I'm on/am reviewing for is really early on... but I can't help but say something!
My goodness, this fic is beginning to tear at my heart. I don't know whether or not the situation with Goku now is better than being in the cave or not. I think more not, because now before there was always somone who might come, and now somone did, but they treat him as a hindrance or a burden. Something to just put up with. It's terrible emotional abuse, but it's written beautifully.

One thing that I found mildly surprising, yet a good twist, was that Hakkai was blind. At first I was like "Wait... what?" Until I remembered that it had been Goku who had stopped Hakkai from pulling out the second eye in the first place. I really admire how you keep up with little details like that, but they mean a while lot in the series.

I can't wait to devour more! Thank you for writing and sharing this!

Wow...Just wow...I have to say that the ending surprised me greatly...I never expected for Goku to end up as a mute, but at least he decided to go along with the Sanzo party...Mabey someday he'll regain the ability to speak...His sun should be able to bring that out of him...
