Captain Nire 2008-12-29 . chapter 24Is there more? A one shot or something that shows Harry AND Draco living happily ever after? I hope there is. I mean this ending is good, and i can see the direction it leads towards, but I'm one of those people who needs to read that happy ending!
All in all a wonderfull fic, i stayed up untill 0253 in the morning (exactly) reading this fic (a testament to how good I think it is) I loved Harry and Dracos awkward relationship. I was in tears at the end when The minister announced that Harry was going to Azkaban and Draco saved him.
( I really would like to read a follow on peice for this if there is one)

keisan 2008-11-09 . chapter 24This story was too amazing for words. Amazing in the sense that you not only managed to, but outdid yourself in capturing the intense emotions surrounding the shocking circumstances that was the plot. It was beautiful in that it depicted such harsh events and with it, intense, raw emotion. The masks both Harry and Draco wore were so in-character, it felt like.
Harry is depicted as I would have written him myself as an ideal, and Draco is his character to a 'T' but changed in a way that only the course of events of the story could truly change and mature him.
The epilogue was interesting that Harry managed to alter his ways of burying himself in the walls he tends to build around his tender heart, the route of his emotion, compassion, empathy and essentially his soul to protect himself from harsh realities; he changed for Draco and that was beautiful.
Draco's transition was beautiful in that he truly did grow from that cowardly boy who lived his entire life to please others no matter what the cost was to himself and to people who were truly innocent; he grew into his nickname as the one who follows the right road, a path that was brave, difficult and selfless, so much like Harry's selfless way. It's beautiful that Harry, although constantly recoiling in pain when people harm him, keeps that gentle, endearing, heroic quality, the one that defends those who harm him; a Messiah I suppose might be a good word to describe him, a savior. I don't mean to sound religious but Harry's goodness is so almost inhuman and it makes me wonder how, in a world that is so harsh and quick to judge, could foster a child of such pure goodness or perhaps he was one of the extreme few who was incorruptible. This story brought to light that Harry is imperfect, but he is essentially good, and so is Draco.
I love how human your characters are at heart and their love for each other is so pure and beautiful and something that makes you feel envious, if nothing else.
I felt on the verge of tears through many of the trials, struggles, judgment and even love worming its way into their lives in such a horrible place, but still managing to flower beautifully. You must continue this. I don't know if you have already written a sequel, but I will just die if you don't ever continue or at least offer more hope that Draco will once again be reunited with his beloved Harry. |
