O, very, ah... "cool." ;) This is good, but short. I like how you use the word "cold" over and over. It's the one tangible, "sane" thought Lucius has left, so he keeps coming back to it. Draw it out and emphasize that in his insistence that he's perfectly sane he is slowly losing his mind. Is that really Avery screaming? Or is it himself, and he's so far gone he doesn't realize it? I like really "dark" adjectives, can you tell?

I like the way you portray a different side of the character most of us see as, cold, if you will. The vaunerable and somewhat uncompossed, yet ever dignified side. One little thing ( that you might have done intentionally ) between " telling " and "Black", you might want to add an "us" or "me" or "the Dark Lord". Otherwise good.
