Really wonderful story. Snape was perfectly in character. I loved Irma and your characterization of Minerva was beautiful, brave and perfect!

Wow, I just had three very short nights, I just couldn't tear myself away from your gripping story!
During the middle part of it I was quite angry with the men of your tale - how could both Severus and Albus miss what Minerva was going through, even get it so wrong. But well, in the later part of the story they sure make up for it ... good for them! Irma Prince on the other hand .. I have never given her the least bit of consideration, what a nice idea to establish her as such a friend.

That was... really intense. Thank you for this wonderful piece of Snape/Min, it's very rare to find something of such good quality! I just couldn't stop reading! Perfect preparation for Deathly Hallows!
Thank you, evil genius!

Huntress 2007-03-28 . chapter 48
Well, first of all: This story is just awesome!
I've read it twice because it's just so good. The plot is dense and it is very well written. So I have to congratulate you for the good job. BTW, in the meantime I've read most of your stories (both SS/MM and RL/MM) and I have to say that you're a very talented author.
Keep up the goog work!

Love, Huntress

Wow, I can't believe that it took me so long to discover this. Beautiful, epic, and painstakingly drawn in every detail. I love it. You truly are one of the most skilful storytellers I know.

The plot was tight and perfectly fitting, while the descriptions were in places little short of breath-taking. You suceed in creating characters who are true to canon, but enhancing them to become complex and nuanced people. Thank you. I loved your portrayal of the Minerva/Severus relationship in particular, which was treated with tenderness and respect. I love your Severus in particular. Not only the perfect antihero, reserved, sarcastic, and brilliantly snarky, but also hot as hell! You obviously care about your characters a great deal. All of your other characters, and your writing style are additionally completely true to canon.

Thank you for an epic read, which has kept me going for almost a week of the school holidays - no mean feat! Great story, great writing, MM/SS love... what more can I say?

THANK YOU!

-Kat.

i've thoroughly enjoyed your story, the plot development was the main thing, as well as the little twists along the way.

i liked the way you wrote about irma pince as well, the relationship between her and minerva was nicely written, i felt.

although this is seriously the first SS/MM i've ever read, the pairing doesn't seem as awkward in your story, and the relationship actually feels likely when you write it. can i ask if you have any others to recommend?

Wow! I have sat up half the night, because I couldn't go to bed before I found out the outcome of Minerva's trial. My back is aching from sitting by the computer and eyes are still a bit sore, but it was all worth it.

Wonderful story. I absolutely loved it. And more I loved your Severus. You got out all the sides of him, from the infuriating to the lovely. And you totally nailed it, he was very believable and in the character. Something that is not an easy thing to do.

Your story was exciting and funny and unpredictable. I liked it very much and Minerva McG drunk was priceless scene. Also, I cheered when Snape made sure Ian ended up to the hands of Voldemort. Bravo! I might be mean, but he deserved that.

Excellent story.

*sob* Such a beautiful, touching story! I loved it all throughout!

Severus x Minerva is my absolute favourite pairing. So naturally, when I found a novel-length fic about them, I had to read.

I was immediately hooked.

Wonderful, wonderful, wonderful! Your style and writing improved so much; the characters were always true to themselves, and you created a villain that I hate as much as I hate Voldemort. You did a good job with Ian Standish; bastard that he is (or rather, was...hehe.)

I cried inside for Minerva all throughout her horrible Azkaban experience, and desperately wanted to see her and Severus get back together after stupid Standish had to show up and ruin their little establishment.

The courtroom drama was fascinating! I'm a sucker for those when they're well-written; and that one was fascinating. I liked how all the pieces were there, but just needed arranging to show the pig picture of the entire puzzle.

Usually I don't like fics to have much sex in them...but your scenes were very hot and tasteful! :)

A wonderful story, through and through! I've also read some of your other SS/MM fics, and enjoy them too. You are a great author! :)

Definitely adding this and you to my favourites list!

Cheers,

Ballad

I absolutely LOVED it! It is wonderful! The way you have described the characters and their actions is great. Besides, the whole story is so neatly written!! Congratulations, please continue writing, I would love to read another fic like this. I'm sorry it is over but it was a fun, intriguing, fic. You write awesome!!

Thanks for an amazing fic! I've enjoyed every minute of it!
Run Wild 2005-06-29 . chapter 48
I can’t believe this is finished. What will I do without my weekly Minerva/Snape fic treat? But what an ending. The pace was gentle, and the content tender and underplayed which is exactly in keeping with the rest of the fic. There were some nice touches of humour too. Such as Sybil’s feathery, fervent hug; Poppy lying about the fact she saw through Standish all along; Snape feeling slightly affronted that she would think he would sink as low as housework (tidying her room) and, of course, the very end when Minerva sees that Snape has still been deducting house points in her absence. The build up of their moment alone together was just perfect, and their love-making very sweet and tender. Minerva was a brave and true Gryffindor to the last in her declaration of love, and his mutual sentiments promised a bright and happy future together. This has been great. Thanks so much for writing.
