I rather liked this. Not everyone call pull off a drabble, you know. (Actually, to be honest, not everyone can pull off a piece of writing under a thousand words!)

I like that he can admit he isn't truly the strong one (in life, in their relationship/friendship). It almost makes me think of the country song, "Tough", about a guy who thought he was tough, until he realized everything his wife did-- and how, when she is diagnosed with cancer, she's the one telling him it will be okay. The meaning behind that song is just so powerful, it knocks me off of my mental feet. But this 'fic almost reminded me of it.

Beautiful...one word can describe it all, no others are needed. You have the Gift...to express feelings and penetrate their meanings to a depth many cannot achieve in a lifetime of writing; myself included. To think that you'll be retiring from the section soon; it truly makes me sad.

You've such a way with words, poetic and compelling-- a true artist with the written verse. And so in character for Domon--at the end he truly realized that Rain provided the foundation for him to rely on.
Fabulous work--the writers to whom you pay homage should be honored.

It was so nice to come to the site tonight to find another extremely impressive piece of work from you, Jess.

I love what you had Domon admitting at the end. It was brilliant.

I thought the end of the series was wonderful when Domon told Rain that it was time that they start their true journey. It's nice when he isn't being a jerk--LOL.
