This had me laughing out of pity for Vash and just the awkwardness of the situation. And then I looked at the genre... Horror is a good fit xD

I was watching episode 24 and I thought, "There's a connection with these two. A sadomasochistic one, but a connection nonetheless." So of course I went on FF to see if anyone else saw it.

Anyway, this was an awkwardly truthful account of how their relationship could've proceeded. Which is one of my ways of saying that I like it, and it's very likely that I'll read it again sometime soonish.

My favorite line was probably... "Nor is it of dubious origins. It is said that human flesh is an addictive taste. I tried it once, but did not much care for it. Humans truly are a worthless species - not even good as a food-animal." Just because it's such a 'bad guy acting good just to freak the good guy' thing to say.

i have fallen in love with this story, maybe it' how close the characters are to there original selves. it could also be legato. i think it's both. i am a fool for insanity.

woww, somehow i can actually imagine Legato really having done that! XD Vash probably would have reacted in the same way but i'm not sure after having watched the ep where he stripped and barked like a dog for the dudes that asked (boy, how embarrasing). I loved that last line! :O so neat

Wow... That was dark, but good. I Can actually see this happening at some point during the manga/anime. I've heard that Legato is human- but he doesn't like the humans because he used to be a slave or something, and thus never developed any human bonds. Sad really.

Whoa, this has got to be one of the most creepiest fics I've ever read. What with Vash feeling woozy, was there some sort of incense when Legato lit the lantern? And Legato might have been switching sides if Vash agreed to 'show him love', Knives would not be happy with that.

I'm not a yaoi fan, but this is excellent! In this case, the yaoi is very well-placed. Just one more tool at Legato's disposal to make Vash suffer. Well-written and great subject matter.

I don't like yaoi/shonnen-ai myself, but that was good. Creepy, yes, but I think that's what makes Legato so effective. He's achived his inner peace; he's got no real motive, per se, he just is and there's nothing that can be done about it (If you've ever read H. P. Lovecraft, Legato's a lot like Nyarlathotep in that regard). Except there is something that can be done here, and Vash has to decide if it's worth it. All I can say is...

VASH! WHERE THE HELL ARE YOU GOING? This is your once in a lifetime chance to make Legato switch sides, and you're leaving because you think it's icky? Get back up there and take one for the team! Pretend it's Meryl or something! Legato's fairly submissive, so it isn't even like you'd have to...
