I actually read this a few days ago, but didn't have any time to review it at that point. Funny how you, too, seem to mainly be into Slayers and Escaflowne. These are the two animes I have been enjoying the most so far and it's been great to read your stories from both series.
This is another story which illustrates your superb writing style. Not only that, you managed to merge the song with the text perfectly as well. On top of all that, there's a good story, and all of this makes this great fanfic.

Oh, it should have been longer. This is one of the best Lina/Xellos stories I've ever read. The only real bad thing I can say about it is that a few parts were confusing. Other than that, I loved it.
