Wowza..Good Jobers

Every time I reread this, I'm struck by how perfect it is. Not just the voices and the setting and the plot, although those are, indeed, perfect, but the feel of it -- the notion that what actually happened on the screen was a bad dream, and this is how everyone's lives actually played out. I love how you don't neglect a single relationship -- it's not just Lorelai and Rory, or Lorelai and Luke, it's Rory and Luke, and Luke and Richard, and Lorelai and Emily, and every other heart involved. I love Marty and how perfectly he suits Rory without being annoying about it, and the serenity of the ending that doesn't mean happily ever after, but does mean everything's going to be okay, and Stars Hollow will go on long after the story ends. It makes me happy and content, and I adore it. Thank you for writing it and seeing it through to the end.

You do realise that it is virtually impossible to have a false positive on a pregnancy test, right?

A very moving chapter. I love how you talked about the essay, then wrote it. Its just the thoughts that I think Rory WOULD have about it, being an over-analyser.

So...wow. I am absolutely blown away by your writing. It's amazing. I read "Seperation Anxiety" and then this story in just a few days. And that's alot of reading. That should definitely tell you just how enthralled I was with your stories. I had to keep going. Even when it was late and I was tired, I kept reading just because it was so great. Your portrayal of these characters is simply wonderful, and the way you took the original plot line of the "Raincoats and Recipies" episode and developed this whole new world from that...it's just great. I mean, if the show had gone like this...wow.

I guess my point is just that this story was great. There are tons of little scenes and lines that I could point out that I really liked, but that would take me forever, because there's just so much that I would want to mention.

This is a general message. I just want you to know that I have read both Separation Anxiety and its sequel Everything old is new again twice for sure with great interest and fascination at the detailed and vivid depiction of those two endearing characters and the other people in their lives. You made me like Emily and Richard, although when Amy was in the mood she could stir the same feelings in us.

Your comment about Amy Sherman caught my eye when you say that "She does wonderful things with them". Well as you know that is a thing of the past and things have changed and deteriorated drastically over the course of a year. Amy and Dan bailed out on the characters they created and crafted for us to fall in love with and who have lead to wonderful fan fiction such as your stories. We have now reached the end of Season 6 which by all accounts is a disaster and those characters are beyond recognition. Maybe you don't intend to write anymore but if you did, you can no longer count on Amy and Dan's inspiration. They butchered those characters and left them for dead. They placed Lorelai in the arms of Christopher, who judging by the fan fiction out there fails to stir any interest in the fans in terms of him and Lorelai being an item. They made Luke a complete and utterly insensitive jerk, not the same Luke that lives in your fiction. Because of all the sad things that have happened during Season 6, I now turn more than ever to stories such as yours as "comfort readin". Thank you and I hope Amy and Dan are no longer the object of your gratitude because they certainly don't deserve it.
