I'm so exhausted from reading your story-in a good way! There is so much I like about your writing. It's very poignant at times, very 'real', and excruciatingly painful (in a very good way!) Jumping from scene to scene was difficult at times and I had to go back and reread just to make sure I was understanding things correctly. For example, when Carter is being tortured, you didn't provide any kind of description. Suddenly, Carter has a hot rod on her back. However, I can understand if this is part of your writing style. All in all, a very good story-very angsty and emotionally draining :) I LOVE good, smart, Daniel whumping. Please consider posting the sequel. I'd love to read how you write that. Peace, fangirl :)

I read this before but I didn't remember how it ended.
So I read it again. It's a lovely sad story with a hopeful ending
I would have loved to see the writers allow this kind of emotion in the show. I always felt they cheated the viewers of the true feeling they might have had for Daniel.

I recently watched Micheal Shanks in Burn Notice.
He was Victor,a burned shy too. If you saw it then you know
how it ended. His family was killed and he went kinda nuts.
Killing other agents. I hope everyone saw it, cause I don't
want to be a spoiler. But when he talked Micheal Weston into
helping him Die, by holding the gun to he heart and saying help me out.it was so intense. Micheal Shanks has that effect. Then the look on Weston's face after, and the way he
cried was very sad. Tears for a ruined man that tried to kill
him 3 x, Because that man's life was ruined and he lost all
hope and wanted to gut the origination that killed family.

My point is Daniel Jackson death in Stargate was done with so
little emotion it boggles the mind. even if the Writers ascended him, Micheal Shanks was leaving the show at that time
after 5 years. he deserved better.


So I appreciate this kind of story.
