I laughed out loud, had a tear or two in my eye and smiled a whole heck of a lot. You have a wonderful facility with dialogue.
Then I saw the TBC at the end of chapter 12 and no more story and I was ready to cry for real. Is the end published elsewhere (I know it has been years)?

I think that is the best story I've ever read! Great plot, excellent structure, believable characterisation, wonderful Siler and absolutely hilarious!
