Very very good! well done. it is sad that great fics don't get as much credit as they deserve..guess people would rather read about sex and stuff...

But nevertheless, deep, insightful. some try to understand Peter and don't quite do as well of a job as this. Often people ignore their fave characters flaws(Harry, James, Sirius, Remus, whoever) and exagerrate the villan's(Peter,Tom, Malfoys, etc). Nice balance.

Before I start the enthusiastic praise, let me get the little canon nitpick out of the way. Fudge says in Prisoner of Azkaban: "Pettigrew received the Order of Merlin, First Class, which I think was some comfort to his poor mother." So she would not be dead at the time your story is set.

But that's just a little thing, because this story is excellent, an insightful look at the characters through different eyes. I especially loved the unexpected but entirely believable thoughts on Remus. "Peter loves him still and feels guilty for not loving him best before": It gave me chills. Kudos!
