Great job. I like Rodney's jealousy of Teyla rarely getting hurt, the pacing, and the chemistry and hints of more between John and Teyla.

I'm sorry, but I'm really nit-picky when it comes to accuracy sometimes. A commet/meteor could not have some throught the event horizon of the stargate, worm holes don't work like that. The gate is not something you can go through both ways, it's a one way trip based on the point of origin of the outgoing address. Any matter that goes through the gate on the other side of the established worm hole would be basically vaporized on complete contact.

Other than my obsesive need to correct that little error, I saw nothing hinky about this story at all. It's brilliant. Keep up the good work. Cheers.

Once again. Atlantis dialing out to the place with the meteors means that they can only go out one way. The meteors can't come in. It is impossible. The only way that the meteors could even go through the gate towards Atlantis is if the gate had been dialed from the place where the meteors came from. Despite this error, I enjoy your story very much.

I don't know if anyone else has pointed this out to you but Stargates only open one-way at a time. So that whole scene you did that has Atlantis base opening the Gate for the puddle-jumper to go through and suddenly a meteorite comes flyin' out into the control room is quite impossible. The Gate doesn't allow two-way solid transit. Signals and frequencies sure but solid things can't go through from the oposite direction that a Gate has opened into. All that aside, great writing!

I'm fairly sure matter only travels only one way through the event horizon, meaning if Weir & Co. in Atlantis open the wormhole, they can go through, but things (or meteors) on the other side can't. The only way for the meteors to go through is opening the gate from their side.

I thought the character voices were a little off (try watching past episodes and really focusing on each person speech pattern, expressions used, etc) and the extent of your medical knowledge (though enviable) almost overshadows the story itself.

Both those things aside this is really not at all a bad story and I very much enjoyed it.
