Wow. All throughout the story I was trying to think of what made some of the names familiar, and there's my answer.

I loved this story. I thought it was awesome, simply awesome.

Of all the original-character Silent Hill stories I've read on here, this is definitely one of - if not THE - best ones.

I have played the games of silent hill but this stiry is great. It could or should be made to a game. The storyline is great and the background imagery was great. You have potential for horror my friend and this is coming from a person who loves horror. Good job and hope to see others. :D

Wow. It's over. I was certainly surprised when Dean died, and a little upset, as he was my favorite character. I laughed when Phillip died, because I never thought he'd be killed so easily. I hope to see more (and better, if it's even possible) work from you in the future.

Best. SH fic. Ever.

I mean that, no **. Honest to god dude. I just read the last four chapters in one sitting. Way to make all my stuff look bad...seriously, though, this is the best Silent Hill fanfic I have ever read.

Fan-freakin-tastic. If there was ever going to be a story decent enough to be put into movie format i would have to say this would win hands down. High praise goes out to you my friend. I could not find any fault with this story. Thoroughly enjoyed every chapter. Hope that you will keep the pen where it belongs. Firmly grasped in your hand. Keep writing for heavens sake. TTFN
Cheers

after that crazy ride you've just dragged us on, the uttely mundane ending with its heavy sense of bathose works so very well indeed.
all in all a brilliant peice. i cannot wait to see what you spin next and it must be said, you are somewthing of an inspiration to me.
thankyou so much for sharing this with us and i'll be sure to tune in.

that really was just fantastic... i'm not quite sure what to say.
your description of god just goes to show the level of imagination that goes into your creature. i never would have been able to come up with something quite as terrifying as that. Also, the description of the final battle was, in a way, truly heart breaking. to see charaters yuo hve brought us so close to over the course of these 24 chapters finaly meet their own demises almost hurt. from Dean's acceptance of death to Sharon and louise's final liberation, it really was something else.
heh, and i thought i was bad when it came to killing off charaters...

Well, what can I say? Even giving myself some time after finishing the story didn't seem to conjure up anything spectacular for my review, but I'll throw down a few words anyway.

First of all, excellent story. It's better than your 'Family' one, and one of the best on this site. Unlike your other story and a lot of others here this one didn't seem to be so much game formula based (corny puzzles, endless item searching, etc.) but was more charcter and plot driven, making it feel like a real story with some Silent Hill elements thrown into the mix.

Chapter 24 is definitely my favorite chapter. The imagery that comes to mind as 'God' kills everyone is so gruesome and so chilling it made me shiver. I think this chapter was a great way to end the horror and to really bring the story to a close.

With the epilogue we find out that like your last protaganist this was all just a horrible horrible dream. After Beth asks the nurse about Shelly I was expecting the two women to come together and feel all warm and fuzzy that they made it out alive, but what you had instead was much better. I especially enjoyed seeing Beth go and visit the graves of the Barkin sisters. Touching in that sort of creepy way you find in Silent Hill.

Overall excellent story. The characters were really well written (especially Philip and Dean) and the plot came together wonderfully. Easily one of my favorites. Best wishes and good luck on your next project.

that was most definatly one of the best streams of concious thought i've ever read. You handled Shelly's panicing just wonderfuly and your description of her enviroment was devinly macrbre. this is such a well though out story, it dosn't cease to amaze me how well everything just slots together.

A solid conclusion. Yeah, I'm gonna miss those crazy kids. Excellent story on the whole. I'm still jealous, but that's neither here nor there.

By the way, Beth comparing and contrasting the real world with that of Silent Hill...nice one. Sometimes, you really gotta wonder...

Once again, congratulations on completing your story. It was a quality work of fiction, and I thoroughly enjoyed every moment of it. I'll be waiting for your next work of inspired imagination. Until then, farewell...
