Wow (at Abbey just proposing to Jed)!

"Jed searched for the elusive little nub he'd read about. When Abbey gasped and arched he looked down at her and began to press his fingers in circles. "Where did you learn to do that?" Her voice was a bit suspicious. "'The Joy of Sex,'" He grinned down at her. "You read 'The Joy of Sex'?" "Yeah," his smile turned more sheepish. "I wanted everything to be perfect for you. I wanted to be good." Leave it to Jed to study up on the subject, she thought with affection." - Those paragraphs made me giggle (and roll my eyes, just a bit, at Jed's behaviour).

"Is there anything else in that book you read that you'd like to share?" - Hehehe.

"He kissed her tenderly when felt the wet tear that fell down her face and onto his skin." - "when he felt".

"Abbey sees a different side to John Bartlet and begins to understand why Jed can't get along with is father." - "with his father".

"You've always been such a pathetic coward." - What a vile thing to say of one's offspring!

"As if a lightening bolt had just struck her," - "lightning bolt".

"John finally spoke up. "Well, I've got to give you credit." He waited for Jed to look at him before he continued. "You managed to do the impossible. She's blindly devoted to you. How did you brainwash her?" - John Bartlet is just getting viler and viler.

"Let me go in and get my keys and we can go for drive." - "go for a drive".

"First thing's first." - "First things first."

Totally cute rest of the chapter, though I AM sorry Jed is so ill.

"Her long, form-fitting black skirt flowed beautifully under the matching jacket and crimson-colored tank top." - John Bartlet will no doubt think Abbey is a hussy and far worse terms, for wearing that revealing top.

"In the deep cervices of his heart," - "In the deep crevasses of his heart".

John Bartlet is IMO one of the -paths, either a psycho- or a sociopath, I do not know which one, though (as I got to this bit: "watching as the evening of charm and civility began.").

"So when do I get my turn?" "Huh?" Abbey pulled her upper body away so she could face him while she kept her hands wrapped around his waist. "When do I get to meet your parents?" - Oh crap...

"Dressed in a purple sundress with flecks of silver flowers," - That sounds SO pretty.

"inviting her to cradle her hand around her elbow as they continued the stroll." - "around his elbow".

Phew, I am incredibly glad the break-up with Ron went well.

Is it OK if I hate John Bartlet with every fibre of my being?

"Abbey!" "Oh God," Abbey mumbled. Veronica Wilson made her way to the couple, pushing herself in front of Jed to face Abbey. "It's so good to see you." She sounded pleasantly nice, with an undercurrent of snide sarcasm. Abbey returned her comment in-kind. "Yeah, you too, Veronica." "I have to tell you. Most people with your coloring would never dream of wearing silver. It's great that you're so confident in yourself that you just don't care," she said with a grin. Jed's eyes widened, shocked by the woman's comment. Abbey's temper was rising, but she stifled it," - Veronica should IMO change her last name to Vicious, then at least her IMO innocent victims will get a timely warning to get out of her way or line of sight.

"She looked radiant in her sparkling silver strapless cocktail dress." - What length cocktail dress? Tea length or ballerina length. I think because Abbey is so tiny it had better be tea length or she will look swamped.

"But Jed felt out of place. Uninterested in conversing with other party-goers, he was ready to pack it up and head out - until he caught something out of the corner of his eye. There she was. If there was such a thing as love at first sight, he had just discovered its true meaning." - AW!
