Trying -Helps 4/30/13 . chapter 5That was a well written, and the idea wasn't bad, it was nice, most people always ridicule that as a plot whole but you took it and made a story. Thumbs up. Take the Good Person Test (fourth result on a Google search). |

I love the idea that someone was willing to risk so much for Peter, and I love the ending. Overall, an amazing story. Keep on writing, you have a lot of potential. icedragon |

ProfFartBurger 1/16/13 . chapter 1I have to say, that was a LOT better than what I expected. (That's not to say I wasn't expecting anything bad, but I digress) I really liked the sudden 'Oh.. Crap..' moment Peter had near the end, when it was revealed Maggie knew who he was. I also really enjoyed the ending, where Peter went to find her and they had their talk, the 'Help List' is what helped earn my favorite. My *all time* favorite movie scenes are in the first two Tobey Macguire Spiderman Movies, In the first when he's holding onto the car with all the kids, and just as the Goblin's going to kill him, and the New Yorkers stand their ground and help him out. ("You mess with Spidey, you mess with NEW YORK!" 'You mess with one of us, you mess with ALL of us!') And the train ending scene in Spiderman 2, when they caught Spiderman and then went so far to stand in front of Octavius to try and protect him. Those scenes really instilled the sort of.. Familial brotherhood New York has with Spidey, and the origins to the Help List filled me with the same sense. All in all, it was a damn good story, and I'll definately come back to read it again. |
Sunder the Gold 1/13/13 . chapter 5Amazing story. Loved it. Liked the idea of the Help List. Goodness knows Peter could use help. One of the things I really loved about the first two movies is how the people of the city rose up to help their hero. In the first one, the ship captain moved to catch the cable car, having faith that Spiderman would hold it long enough, and then the people on the bridge threw anything they could at the Goblin. They didn't get to do so much in the second movie... unless one realizes just how hard it is for that many people to keep that kind of secret. I don't remember if the third movie retained the "City as Hero" character, but if not that was just one of the problems with it. (Still better than I expected it to be; Raimi did a great job salvaging that mess.) |
Rinas 12/31/12 . chapter 5That story was too good. |
