This is really impressive - I like it. I agree with Thunk. You needn't second yourself too much because of the manga. I think your story works autonomously from the manga, without the characters being too OOC - if that makes sense.

Ah! You must update. Seriously this is too good. I've actually never read a ShikaSaku before, but call me converted because this is great. You make them so fun to read with their verbal sparring and I can easily imagine them begin attracted to each other. They fit together a lot better than I had thought they would. It's a lot more believable than some of the other pairings I've read.

I also love how you utilize so many of the characters by putting them on teams for the mission. My favorite fics are the ones with lots of characters involved and interacting and you seem to do that well. So keep up the good work! I am super interested to see where all this goes. Can't wait for your next update.

You are a very talented writer, truly you are. This story is very well put together, between the characters being insync and in-character, the plot captures your interest, making you wonder just what exactly will happen, your writing style is so easily read, instead of choppy it flows nice and straight, giving the reader a sense of contentment while reading. You dialogue was amazingly perfect, too. Your love story isn't cliche or corny, it flows really quite nicely, making it extremely believable. I can see why you have six-hundred reviews, an amazing feat to be sure.

By the way, quick word of advice. Screw the recent manga chapters, kay? Cause they don't matter. What matters is the events you chose to follow, which you told us about at the beginning. You are doing chapters 241 and earlier, after that you have made everything up. Makes it easier to deal with if you just forget about all that crap, because the readers truly don't care, they just want to know what you will do with YOUR Naruto world next.
