Awwww... I love it. Of course, I love any good Qui-Gon fic, but this was really good. I can truly imagine him doing that for his Padawan. Incredibly good.

This is an absolutely WONDERFUL look into the father-son relationship between Qui-gon and Obi-wan. It's also quite original - I've seen one or two in which Obi-wan has a premonition of Qui-gon's death and saves him, but this one is the first I've read in which it's the other way around. Very well done!

Ooh, good twist. At first I thought it was yet another 'I'm gonna die tomorrow... see you Obi' thing. But writing about how Qui-Gon was the manipulator behind the 'ah, I wasn't fast enough to save him!' thing was great. Bravo! Or brava! Whatever. And the river stone thing? Ooh. Great. And my friend still hasn't gotten over it... "DARREN HAYES IS GOING TO BE IN STAR WARS!" Duh. hehe

Very nice! And beautifully written. Yes, that is also what I imagine Qui-Gon was doing during the Duel of the Fates. He was protecting his padawan.
