Great story! Well written. Sounds like a great back-story for a street-sam character.

Interesting. You have the mage continue to lose magic/escence. I hope you continue this story though, it has promise. Renraku will probably search out for him, and the fixer will probably try to give the guy an easy run (probably something dealing with his father or something like a tidbit to gain the kid's trust).
