This, my dear, and many others little details in your story, is what makes fanfictions, usual whose goal is only to pair two characters together (something seen all too much on the net) a GOOD work : incredibly good characterisation, a writing that flows well and an excellent grasp of the shinobi world by Kishimoto : it could have been angsty; you made it REAL.

This was amazing, and moving. An incredibly well-done character piece, I completely didn't expect the turns it would take. You've got Iruka and Kakashi spot on. I like the way you utilized the bridge scene, and having Kakashi's sharingan also able to transfer memories. All the little details together blew me away- the use of chakra, what Iruka observed, their banter, the view of things from inside Iruka's head like his relationship to the Third and the little observation about Kakashi's teleportation-- it gave me the feel of a slice of a complete and thought out world.
Brava, your story was really good and compelled me to comment. ^^ Made me cry, but that's a compliment! ^^;;

By the end of this piece I was left in awe. This is what fanfiction should be like. Thank you for sharing this. I'm not even ashamed to say that my eyes welled up with tears at one point. Please continue your great work.
