Beautifully worded and, to be honest, a breath of fresh air. This is the first IY fic I've ever read that has been structured like this, alluding rather than up front and in your face. God it feels good to read something that sounds like it wasn't written by a ten year old. Bravo. I only have one thing to nit-pick about, and that's verbiage, use a little less adjectives next time.
