Just like to say that this fic was written in the way it was because Snake is either thinking this or saying this (depending on how you look at it) and so memorising what he had done, but not going into full detail, dismississ the fact that he had done thoughs things.

Also in the Game (Metal Gear) Snake kills Big Boss who says he is his father and Knowing that he killed some one who may be his father and only family, would probably eat into him. That's why it say he killed his family.

Also, depending on when you believe he is thinking or saying this,(Befor MGS1 or after) He killed liquid, who is is brother. There for he killed his brother and Father, who unfortuneatly was his family.

But it all depens on how you interpitate it.

It was very, very interesting. I like how your worded it and it seemed very much like why Snake would possibly have moved to live in Alaska. I don't recall him ever stating that he killed his family, did you just make that up? Or had I just missed something in the dialouge?

Nice insight into our lonely hero's mind. You perhaps could've made it better with a more in-depth analysis of his sordid past, but I like the almost schizophrenic ending as it is. It seems that Snake really is pretty insecure with himself, and would rather distance himself from the people he has killed in your take.

You could have given a lot more detail of Snake/David exploring himself...I mean, he has been through Outer Heaven and Zanzibar Land...you could have had him tell about his experiences there and why he regrets doing these things.

There is a lot more of what you could have written...but this is a nice, lonely piece. Solid Snake is finally one of those multilayered action game heroes who you just plain think is cool and human.

Man, that's really sad. *sniff* I thought it was interesting the way you had David -completely- separate his job from who he is. It's the first time I read a fanfic that did that.

This sounds like it probably took place before MGS1 because you can see how much he has changed in MGS2. That character growth is one of the main reasons why Metal Gear is such a fantastic series.

Overall I liked the story. It was nice seeing a glimpse of Snake's thoughts.

This is written very badly, but it kinda mayde me feel sorry for the guy.
