I'm finally reviewing after about a month. I feel guilty about that. >.< Anyway, I loved Enishi in the first scene. He was so badass, beating up that assassin. And Enishi being badass is always very swoonworthy. =D

I liked Megumi and Kaoru's interaction with Enishi in this chapter, even though it was very slight. Kaoru wanting to tackle Enishi is classic. Too bad she didn't do it, it would have been funny. But Megumi made up for it by slapping him, so I'm good.

oops! I realized I never reviewed this chapter! How forgetful am I?
Well I said I'd reserve all the praise for my review, so here goes.
Um, can I just say Enishi is a sexy badass? It's true, and you know it. I get so happy every time I read the part where he sacrifices himself (in a really badass way) for Mei-mei.

I like the little tidbits of their pasts you included in this chapter. Usually there's a whole separate story line, but this time it was more like snapshots of what the two were like after Mei-mei left. I kind of liked that.

Also, in a way I'm glad that you didn't have Enishi sitting and whimpering beside Mei-mei while she was hurt. He was CLEARLY very troubled about it, but it seems in character for him to sort of deny it. His being so mean to Kaoru and her trying not to ambush him made me laugh.

Um, can I just say, as borderline corny as it may be, I LOVED the part when Enishi bares his soul to Kenshin? I love reconciling enemies! Hm...maybe that's why I love RK so much in the first place. Yay reconciliation!

Wow, the end is so very...satisfying. Like fresh-batch-of-chocolate-chip-cookies satisfying. Yup, yup, definately a great chapter!
