Blue Moon Pie 5/11/12 . chapter 1This is a very well written story. I'm impressed. I think that you should change the category from "Misc. Comics" to "The Adventures of Tintin." (They probably didn't have one when you wrote this.
Hope to see more from you! |
PersianLady 4/21/05 . chapter 1Very horrible, but very exciting story! Keep it good! |
the-real-mo 1/11/05 . chapter 1Though it was very depressing and dark - especially for a Tintin adventure - this fic was very good! You pinned down the personalities of Tintin and Chang, and it was an interesting choice to not include Snowy. I was wondering if you'd ever expand on the idea that Tintin has a sister? That would be interesting if you did. The only thing that threw me off was the date - 19. I don't know why, but I have trouble placing Tintin in that time period (heck, I have trouble placing him in the 60s, as with "Picaros"). Anyway, a great fic. I really wish there were more Tintin fics on this site. |
Stormyrose 11/12/04 . chapter 1 This was nice. I mean, the subject wasn't (rape, prostitution, etc.) but you have done a wonderful job of writing the characters and their relationships.
I say: good job! |
YT1 11/22/02 . chapter 1Even though it's more dark and intense than Herge's Tintin stories, it still has the same feel to it - Tintin and Chang are, how can I say this, MORE than in-character. They're the same, just adapted to a more realistic situation.
One little problem, though. This story is set in 1999, as you said, but the series was written in the fifties and sixties. The Tintin book I have with me (Coke en Stock, or Red Sea Sharks in English) was first published in 1958. Although I'm sure you have your own reasons for putting it in the time period that you did.
Sort of off-topic - I started looking for Tintin fanfics more than an hour ago, found your stuff, and intended to read one story and then do something else. And then I read it and thought, "That's a good story, I'll just read one more and that's it for now." Well, suffice it say that things didn't work out that way. It's like a book I can't put down. :) |
Puffinstuf 7 4/25/00 . chapter 1 Alright, this is turning out good! I wonder how it's going to end... |
Blaise 4/23/00 . chapter 1 I liked that. Well thought-out, well written. You know how to tell a good story. |
