Interesting take on Kikyo's side of things. It was very, um...dark, but I think it was a bit vague. Not vague in the way you described her emotions, but maybe the style...? I don't know. But good job.

Kikyo scares me, just a bit. But I like her too. What are those Kikyo-haters thinking?

Anyways, I'm here for another reason too. I tried to complete my review for your other story, The Strangest Pair, even logging off in an effort to do so, but it won't work. Stupid thing. So I've submitted the rest of my review here.

As I was saying last time, you could have Naraku pry info a little at a time from Kumiko, and maybe even go into Kagome's time. He could say something like, "I'm Kagome's friend," or something along those lines. You know? I could also so totally picture Kumiko offering the demon lord tea or something and inviting him into her home. Heehee. And then Naraku could be confused, like, 'why is she being so kind to me?' and maybe through her learn what love is...? Anyways, whatever you do, I hope you update it soon. I can't wait to see Kagome's reaction when she finds out.

As for the name of the story...well, it suits, but if you really are going to make it a 'love' story, maybe you could call it something else. After all, your summary is already pretty much of an attention grabber. (come on! Naraku and Mrs. Higurashi? That's crazy!)

One last thing. I read some of the other reviews you read, and some people requested lemons. Well...if you could...not write a lemon...? I really am not a fan of those anyways, but if they are written really well, and the characters are developed a TON before it happens, they can get away with it. But most lemons I've read are pretty...BAD, inserted randomly throughout the story for no particular reason. It really ruins it. And the graphics...ugh. But that's my personal opinion.

However, if you do decide on writing a lemon, could you let me know by leaving a review or emailing me? That way I can be prepared...yeah.

I hope I haven't offended you in any way by what I said. Tell me if I did...and if I did, I'm sorry!

Thank you so much for posting this story up. So many people out there mistake Kikyou's character for a bitchy dead corpse that walks the earth and hates everything. "Why did Kikyou have to come back to life?" "Kikyou never really loved InuYasha!" "Why can't Kikyou just die, she's so cold and filled with malice!" They never try to see her side. Kami, Kikyou was brought back to life against her will. People somehow seem to *cough* forget *cough* that she was unwillingly brought back to life. I cannot stress my thank yous enough on your fanfic to portraying Kikyou's emotions and POV on the whole confusing betrayal. I WILL recommend this story on my bio, you can be sure about that.

*sniffle* That's so sad . . . I've always felt sorry for Kikyou . . . in fact, I was gonna write something very similar to this. I guess I'll just put it to music or something . . . ;; This is awesome, keep it up! Ja . . ._

Okay you actually made me realize that what you were saying was true. All those facts about her being dead, her first love now belongs to someone else, she's not the woman she used to be, and the fact that her doubts, insecurities, regret, fear, anger, and hatred have now tainted her is absolutely true. I would have never thought to look at Kikyo in that light before. I mean I've never been an extreme Kikyo fan but I've never been an extreme Kikyo hater either. I've pretty much been in the middle. Although for awhile I was frustrated because I wanted Inu and Kagome to get together but there was always some kind of obstacle in their way. Kikyo being one of them but as the series progressed, I found myself liking her a little bit more each day. I guess I was also frustrated that Inu and Kagome couldn't be together because there's also Naraku, Koga (although we all know Kagome doesn't like Koga in that way), and a whole lot of other obstacles we all know about. What I can't understand, however, is how can ppl not understand or comprehend one another's preferences or opinions. I mean you like Kikyo right? But you're not running around posting flames on Kagome every single chance you get right? Then there are the Kagome haters. I for one fail to see her "unreedeeming qualities." I mean if you don't like her being with Inu then I can understand that but what is there not to like about her. She's not the typical whiny damsel in distress. She's not a spoiled brat. She's not a rude, overbearing, demanding, bossy, obnoxious ex lover. She's definitely not an flat or uninteresting character either. I mean she's a 15 yr old high school student who just so happens to be a priestess and can time travel through Modern Day Japan and the Feudal Era. So what is it about her that Inu fans don't like? But the same applies to Kikyo as well. What is it about her that fans don't like besides the fact that she's still trying to win Inu over? She's far from being an average, flat, underdeveloped character let alone an uninteresting one, so what's the big deal with Kikyo haters? Personally, I like both characters, I just happen to like Kagome more than I do Kikyo but I will go on record to say that I don't necessarily consider myself a Kikyo hater. Now that that is out of my system, kudos on a job well done. You did a great job of portraying what Kikyo probably feels and thinks about day in and day out. To be alive but then to not be alive. To have a shred of freedom even if it isn't the way you want it. (Got that from the episode where she mentioned how she was free to love, hate, or do whatever she wanted.) All of her problems would be or should I say would have been solved if she was never the miko of the Shikon Jewel but it just wasn't meant to be that way huh? Congrats and keep writing.
