Larner 2009-11-11 . chapter 10Good to read this again here, Altariel. Still as chilling as when I read it first. An excellent might-have-been story. |
 lindahoyland 2009-05-30 . chapter 12A truly chilling drabble! |
 illereyn 2009-05-30 . chapter 12Oh! Spooky! |
Clodia 2009-05-29 . chapter 12These are beautiful. Thank you! |
lindahoyland 2009-05-24 . chapter 11A very clevery written AU.As an Aragorn fan(and someone who admires our Queen)I'm glad Aragorn was king, but you portray a different outcome brilliantly in so few words. |
illereyn 2009-05-22 . chapter 11A wonderful AU highlighting the political and ideological differences between Middle earth and our democracy.
It's certainly made me realise that even if Aragorn was to come to our word, we'd never be happy with the absolute monarchy that he wielded, no matter how tolien described it. It's made me wonder how exactly LoTR relates to our own world. Thank you for encapsulating so many ideas in such a short, well written space!
Happy Birthday to Dwim too! I'm sorry I missed it. |
Raksha The Demon 2008-09-24 . chapter 10A scarey-good look at Faramir succumbing to Ring-allure, and the consequences to Gondor. Very troubling AU, skillfully sketched in 100 words. |
 Eagleseye 2008-07-06 . chapter 10 Wow!
What a stunningly chilling drabble - so much conveyed in a few lines. I really liked how you did not use names, just references like 'his father', etc... It really forced the reader to interact with the story and work out what happened, and it created a cold, distant tone very suited to this bleak AU. The symbolism was very powerful and vivid too.
The fact that Aragorn became King still is very interesting - so it's not the fact that the king returns but rather the manner in which he returns that matters, eh? And who actually ends up holding power. Hm...it really puts a new angle on issues of right, authority and kingship that Tolkien put forward in his portrayl of Aragorn.
this drabble is a really thought-provoking piece. thank you!
Also, is this drabble linked to a story or a challenge? |
 excessivelyperky 2008-05-31 . chapter 10Scary, and good. |
lindahoyland 2008-05-27 . chapter 10A chilling and intriguing drabble, I liked it while being glad events turned out differently. |
Calenlass Greenleaf1 2008-05-26 . chapter 10Well, you gave it a very good shot. An AU of 100--wow. Impressive.

Raksha The Demon 2007-01-09 . chapter 6Oh, this is a lovely piece. For Faramir, Aragorn is more than king and friend; he is a living window into the past, closer even than Imrahil to the grandfather Faramir never knew, and someone who viewed Finduilas and Denethor with a unique perspective. |
Silm 2006-09-08 . chapter 5 I ADORE your LotR stories! The Faramir/Eowyn one was brilliant, and those are so cute! My favourite (being a Watership Down fan) was "Of herbs and stewed rabbit". The idea is so great and it's so well done. I am very impressed. |
thayzel 2005-05-29 . chapter 2I'm probably biased but I love Watership Down (see name) and the rabbit's point of view is beautifully integrated in LotR. Their innocent insight is tremendous. |
helga3 2005-05-13 . chapter 8I very much enjoyed all these drabbles - all managing to say so much in so few words. Consider me impressed.
I did especially like 'Homeward Bound', though. Now there's two worlds I never thought I'd see crossed. This deserves to go into my favorites for that alone. |
