Interesting cross-over. I'm not familiar with Cyborg 009, but I like the characters of Hurricane Joe and Francoise a lot. Good plot, good connections between the villains in Speed's world and those of Joe's-and then there's always Spritle and Chim Chim, to provide the comic relief! Great stuff!

Hm. Makes me wanna try a Racer/Knight Rider crossover at some point...

I must apologize for not reviewing as soon as I got the "Author Alert" my friend. This was a great chapter. You're at your literary best, as usual, giving the reader enough suspense to keep us on the edge of our seats. Loved your intro beginning with the Team Dolphin's descent right before switching over to Supremo and Magento receiving word from Capt. Terror that their fiendish plans are now finally underway. The ominous meeting held by Capt. Terror before the Car Acrobatic Team seemed to predict that the end was near for the Go Team and Team Dolphin. I'm so glad that Speed and Joe are taking the threats seriously, but I can't help but wonder how our heroes intend to focus on the Trans Asia Race with so much at stake. They must also worry about the safety of their girlfriends. Spritle and Chim Chim are up to their old tricks, I see. Will those two knuckleheads ever learn? Though their tagging along seems to have caused a problem not foreseen by the Car Acrobatic Team (Great job by the way!) You continue to amaze me with your talent for stupendous storytelling! Way to go!

Pretty cool chapter. I did like the heart-to-hearts with Joe & Francoise and Speed & Trixie. Really brings home how dangerous all this is. And Snake got his butt kicked by Chim Chim! Sweet! For a guy who talks real tough, he sure gets beat up a lot. I'm waiting for Trixie to womp on him. Oh yeah, and I liked the little ceremony the CAT had. The same scene from the Alpine Race episode materialized so clearly in my mind's eye as I read that part.

To be honest, THIS should have been the plot of the Speed Racer movie. Then it would have been . . . what's the word I'm looking for? Oh yeah. Better!

Wow. You sure know how to pick up the pace of a story, don't you? Very interesting chapter. I like how you had both couples getting some time alone before the big race, and both Speed and Joe are feeling the pressure on them.
And Spritle and Chim Chim will be along in the chopper, huh? Trixie certainly won't be happy about that when she finds out! My guess is, little brother will find a way to help her and Francoise, since their boyfriends will be too busy racing...

Yay!! The day of the race!

I know I've said it before, but I love the scenes between Speed/Trixie and Joe/Francoise. The love each of these couples has for each other fills my heart. I actually had tears in their eyes when each couple respective aired their fears and love for each other. Just the thought of losing one's soul-mate is devastating. I have a feeling, too, that something will happen in subsequent chapters that will bring turmoil.

Great scenes with Spritle and Chim-Chim. I could see what they were doing happening in the show and the movie. (Wonderful movie. I've yet to post a review, but I will. Go see it before it's gone from theaters. Lousy critics. *grumble*) I'm amazed at how much Chim-Chim can eat, he's a bottomless pit! I think the duo might have made a very big mistake in stowing away on Trixie's helicopter.

I'm worried about the race and what kind of evil the Car Acrobatic Team will issue on both the Dophin and Go Teams.

Great job, as usual! I can't wait for the next chapter.

Please forgive me for not reviewing this sooner. Rich and I have been through some very rough times recently and it's been tough going. I could barely concentrate on reading message boards, let alone stories. I did read it when you first posted it, but wanted to wait until I would be able to give it the review it so very much deserves. That said, I'm so glad you updated this story. It was well worth the wait.

Speed sharing his concern about the race with Trixie showed just how much he loves and trusts her. Of course, she will stand by his side and they will face whatever happens together.

I understand Speed's concern for Trixie, but you know she's going to fight him on it every step of the way. It was great when she brought up the comment Speed had once made to her about being a girl. That one always annoyed me and it was great that she called him out on it. And, like Speed, Joe is going to have to feel Francoise's wrath as well. I love the fact that the girls are going to team up. Girl power!

Of course, the fluff always makes me happy. The scene between Joe and Francoise got my heart all a flutter. I cracked up at Jet's line about about them heading off for a "nooner."

I can't wait for the race to begin!

BTW: Seeing this update, reading it and then rereading it, got me out of my doldrums and inspired me to to start writing again. Thanks, and again, I'm very sorry that it took me so long to review.

As usual you've got quite a great story going on here, KSF. I liked when Trixie was explaining to Francoise how she was kind of taken into Speed's family and that even Chim Chim was a boy - lol! (It's kind of that way for Keith too, but we have two girls and two female dachshunds - lol!) I liked that when Joe was telling Francoise that he wouldn't be right there to protect her during the race, how Speed was telling Trixie the same thing. And I love how you wrote Speed telling Trixie to be careful, how worried they both were and then sealing it with a very strong kiss. As for the race, I can only imagine what you're going to have happen. I'm glad that Speed has Sparky, but I wonder just what's going to happen with Spritle and Chim Chim. Keep up the great work!

Hi. Well-done as always. Liked the loving scenes with Speed, Trixie, and 003 & 009.

The distance figures and race course were well-researched, as were the technical details of the Mach Fice and other cars. I liked the Grimes figure for Racer X's butler (also a little tribute to one of the SR voice actors?)

Also liked the verisimillitude and atmosphere of the USSR at that time period; the burned-out landing lights at the runway were a detail that rang true. Same with the captured Bugatti.

Loved how Chim-Chim attacked Snake. Wonderful! And I wonder exactly what Racer X said to Terror and his vile compatriots.

Please continue and update when you can. An update is coming soon for my new Speed story, as well. Thanks for the review of that, and my New Comet story continues.

A great lead in to chapter 8 my friend. The story has truly taken off now. I'm so glad that I took the time to read your previous chapters to get a better understanding of your plot and the direction this story has gone in. You've managed to provide the reader with substantial flashbacks and histories of both universes and that made for a read that held my utmost attention. Again Bravo!

My compliments again on a well written chapter. Nice that Racer X was able to, once again, convey the latest information re: the involvement of the Black Ghost and Spies Inc. along with the stolen uranium. Sorry that the couples' dinner was ruined by the intrusion of Snake and Python. For Capt. Terror to stop it and then to leave with that cryptic threat...You really need to know how to leave a reader hangin'.

What an exciting chapter this was! The best yet! I've never read a story consumed with as much energy as you've put into this one! What a race! I felt as if though I were part of the crowd! So glad that Terror and his minions got what was coming to them. Talk about karma, although I didn't want Speed to lose (I'm a sucker for those blue eyes of his) I'm glad that he's alright and that his car didn't suffer the same fate as did the car belonging to Snake and Python. Can't wait to read the next chapter! Fantastic work as always my friend!

Oh, dug the tension between the guys and the girls. Probably the right time for a little friction, especially with what's at stake here. The ladies were appropriately indignant. Looks like you haven't missed a beat with the story flow even after a four-year hiatus.

I'm finally catching up GA! Nice use of imagery here, for I could literally visualize both characters neck and neck during their practice run. I also liked how you managed to incorporate the use of the Cyborgs' powers and Joe along with Francoise giving Speed and Trixie a glimpse into their history. As usual Racer X is the one who knows all and fortunately he's an ally for the Go Team (doesn't hurt that he's a member of the Racer family too). He seems to be the bearer of bad news but it's done to keep them informed and abreast of danger. It appears as if though Trixie and Francoise have reason to be afraid here given the reputations of both the Black Ghost and Spies Inc. Can't get over how detailed this story is. You definitely deserve a pat on the back!

Your crossover is great! You've done a remarkable job combining the two universes! I've got to tell you, I have vague memories of SpeedRacer as a kid, but I do remember "Racer X!" Yummy! Now I noticed you had Scarl mention that Racer X and Speed were brothers. Again is that common knowledge or did I miss something from the earlier two chapters? I remember Speed not being aware of Racer X's identity as his older brother, Rex. In this story does Speed and the Racer clan know?
Back to the chapter, Scarl's manipulative behavior appears as if though it'll pay off. Using an accident that injured Captain Terror's friend, striking up a lighted match of hidden resentment was smart on the bad guy's part. What a foolish decision to make, agreeing to transport stolen goods ( although unknown to Terror ) for the sake of the might dollar. Oh what a tangled web we weave...
The coming together of the Go Team and the Dolphin Team was very well written. Nice to see the admiration and respect that Speed and Joe have for each other. The work you put into this chapter seemed effortless. Great job!
