Helga was comatose for several days? Uh, I guess I got lost in the timing of your story... Timberly spent days "draining the batteries" and the Johanssens did not attempt to find out what happened with electricity in the city? And where the Johanssens did get hot water for Helga's bath? Uhm... I'm sorry, I guess it is not important... It's just I don't think this time skip does fit the story.

It's funny that when describing a monster Arnold and Helga use Big Bob for comparison. I think they subconsciously consider him a "standard monster" of the Neighbourhood... Or you did this comparison on purpose?

Nice nostalgic scenes.

Timberly is a teenager fed up with boredom and everyone sending her away... I hope she won't meet a monster, for monster's sake.

I remember playing Silent Hill 2 and feeling INTENSELY uncomfortable while playing it. I kept jumping at every little noise and seeing shadows flit in the corner of my eyes.

I'd say this story has something of the same effect of making me jumpy while reading it, so I congradulate you for succeeding (if that was your intention).

It's hard for me to follow through a story that ISN'T romance (yes, I am one of those people...**sigh**), but this story has me hooked. Besides a few gramatical and spelling errors, this fic is good.

Can't wait to read more.

I must say that I thought my browser was malfunctioning when I saw this fic at the top of the list. I hit refresh and sure enough another chapter! I thought you were gone for good. I am so excited that you are continuing this.

Crossover's are hard to make interesting because half of the fic will involve a franchise that your readers may not be interested in. Fortunately I like both Hey Arnold and the Silent Hill games, and the way you're integrating Silent Hill into the Hey Arnold universe, instead of mashing both of them together, just speaks so well of you as a crossover writer. Integrating one into the other in a subtle way will sure keep a lot of readers interested who may not be really into the entire Silent Hill universe.

Chapter six really makes things interesting. I can see the setup here. It's a sure good thing that Helga isn't at a hospital in chapter six, though I have a feeling the group will be at a hospital at some point, you just need to put the nurses in here to freak out the main characters a whole bunch. :)

I'm also intrigued that you didn't put the sirens into the story to herald the approaching darkness. I think I see why you're not doing that but I'll withhold comment to see if I'm right.

I can't wait for chapter seven. This is gonna be good. :)

Now when I know what Silent Hill is the story looks much more interesting. Some scenes are a bit rushed, but now I can visualise them in my head, and it looks really thrilling. The We-live-in-scary-place spirit is well reconstructed.

Maybe you should use some of the "real" ghosts from the show? Four-Eyed Jack, Cynthia Snell (Ghost Bride), Haunted Train and its mad conductor, Headless Cabbie, Wheezin' Ed... It would be cool to picture somebody of them "seriously", in Silent Hill way.

About absence of proper editing:

"screaming something ab We go in there" -- something is missing here.

"...they both found himself jumping startled when he heard..." -- so it's "they" or "he"?

I found this via your post on the Hey Arnold community. I've never played any of the Silent Hill games but this has got me rather hooked anyway. I'm sorry to here about everything that's happened, and hope that things will only get better for you from now on. I can't wait for the next chapter and to see where all of this leads :)
