The only quibble I could have with this is that river manages too much coherence in a stretch, but I rather think that's an artifact of the all-text format; writers can't show, after all, so they've got to tell. I totally believe the means of motivating Mr. Cobb, and appreciate the largely explicit simile in the anchor desciption. Nice little story.
