I like it. I really hope you follow this through and develop the story more 'cause this could turn into something really fabulous.

I just thought, I know you've already written it so it's a bit late now, but you know the bit when the sandy haired kid died and he holds her hand? Maybe it would've been kinda cool if you said something about the blood on their gloves mixing together, mixing emotions and mixing death etc. Or something like that.

So anyway, please please please continue with this. This is my new one to watch. Yay!
