Hello! 2007-06-19 . chapter 1 The one Joker killed was Jason Todd, not Tim Drake. |
Serlenia 2006-08-09 . chapter 6I hope you continue soon it is very good so far but I hope the titans don't go their seperte way. Also I have bad spelling unless I have spellcheck so ya. Anyways can't wait for the next chapter. |
dlsky 2005-05-13 . chapter 1Well, I must say your picked a great story line for transition of Robin into Nightwing. However, you chose a character path for Joker that contradicts all that the readers know. Making this story and OC out of character story. Almost an AU alternate universe story. I can’t say I’m overly upset though. So far the first five chapters that I just read today. Have been written and expressed very well. I love your format, character interaction and the whole conversation between Slade, Joker, and Robin was pretty great.
Robin’s vengance is driving a wedge between the team, but not because of how he’s acting, but the wake up he’s visually making the team see. They’re see themselves slide transitionally from children fighting and playing games to adults and living in a real world where terrible, if not bad things cause consequences. You write nicely.
So where do you go from here? We’ll my one suggestion is this:
Since you’ve already established this story as an OC, AU, kind…why not continue with it.
Slade knows he and Joker are one and the same. Right? Joker dose not. Right? Well how about have slade have been working on a way to septerate the two of them. Slade’s smart, immortal and technologically advanced usually. Where as Joker’s insane, crafty and funny.
So have Slade have been working on some device to separate the two halves into seprate beings. This is fantasy fiction, you can do what ever you want to write. He could make it possible. But for a twist why not make Slade force robin to choose one of two ways……
(Before that a little background on psycho’s/ and duel personality syndrome) Slade or the dominate personality can inside the mind battle the other personality or personalities to kill them off or subdue them, but mainly of only one to remain they have to kill the rest off. That way joker will be dead and Slade will only remain.
So for options:
1. Slade could tell Robin he’d kill off the joker for him, but at a price? That way Robin technically has kept himself from committing murder. Paying what ever price down the line Slade asks for doing this.
Or 2 and this is more fun and creative for an author in my opinion.
2. Slade tells Robin about the device he’s been working on to separate and give each personality of the Joker/ Slade their own body. Slade tells robin he can have his revenge and kill the joker without Slade dieing too. But at a price. Slade asks Robin something not related to being an apprentice (too cliché) but something that tears him up morally or ethically. Could even make it that Slade needs someone’s DNA to pull this little separation off. (Don’t know just thoughts.)
But make it while all this is happening, the Joker is starting to figure out that he’s not alone up there (in his head) he starts to try and fight back, could actually make it that Robin agrees, they separate and Batman is the one to kill the joker, not Robin, so what he did didn’t actually make him anymore ahead, but still in debt to Slade and without his reward or closure.
Don’t know, that’s just one of many idea’s, you’ll figure it out. You seem to be a detail oriented writer, which usually means your cleaver too.
Can’t wait to read further, you have a good story here, just got yourself into a Rule no, no, and you’ll have to find a way out. That’s all. If you need any more advice, a listening ear or just someone to throw ideas and thoughts too. Give me an e-mail I’m always available.

lightsong 2005-05-09 . chapter 1 yea... joker "killed" jason todd and i believe his mother... the second robin... then is somehow reincarnated as a Batman villain as... the Red Hood! also for a fun fact, a villain called the Boomerang (i'm not making this up...) killed tim drake's father whom in turn killed the Boomerang, and now the Boomerang's son, who has super speed and deadly accuracy with a boomerang, is the new Boomerang... sorry... i just got comic book dorky... i jus thought you needed to get that straight... and if you want to use that little arc too...
anyways, great story! keep it up! |
Tony Dimera 2005-02-25 . chapter 4I'm am really interested.
I want to see if you show any more growth in the Robin/Starfire relationship.
And to the last reviewer, the Robin in the Teen Titans cartoon is Dick Grayson not Tim Drake.
The episode Haunted showed Dick's memory of his parents death. |
Raven of Evil 321... 2005-02-21 . chapter 1 Tim Drake is ROBIN NOW. Joker killed Dick Grayson. Im pretty sure. |

All-Knowing-Oracle 2005-02-01 . chapter 3Haha,don't worry about it.It takes me months to update my stories! This is coming along nicely though. You've kept the characters all nicely in character.People tend not to do that too much in fanfic. Please keep it up,I really like it so far!

All-Knowing-Oracle 2004-11-12 . chapter 1Hey!Nice story so far, keep it up.I also wrote a story where Slade and the Joker were the same person...great minds think alike, huh?lol Anyways,I like your style, and I appreciate that someone agrees with me! Love,GalindaGirl |
AbsolutAnda 2004-11-12 . chapter 1Joker killed Jason Todd not Tim Drake. Tim actually went to college i think and Dick went on to become Nightwing...yeah, just pointing that out |
Madi 2004-11-11 . chapter 1 You,my friend, are an ecxellent writer. Keep up the good work. BB & Rae HAVE to find the inner love for each ohter that I know lingers near by, but it's your story and I'd love to read the rest! |
Mike9 2004-11-11 . chapter 1Oh come on, a sane portion of the Joker, that's impossible, he doesn't even have any fighting skills. I like the writing style, but the pretence of a sane Joker as Slade just doesn't work with me because you'll need to make some phenomenal story to cover the transition to a duality, which I fail to see.
The Joker is not a character you can mess with either, and he's too smart for his own good and always enjoys a good laugh, Slade is too cold and calculating and would be eliminated by the Joker portion. Also the only person who is allowed to defeat the Joker is Batman, for anybody else to do so ruins his relationship with Batsey. I'm torn between an interest in your style and an extreme hatred for your usage of the Joker. Sorry. |
Rose Eclipse 2004-11-10 . chapter 1This is a very clever idea and I'm curious to know where you want to go with it. Of course, you must know the D.C world to put a spin on the "other" identity of Tim Drake and make him Robin's brother in this one.
I'm not sure I understand exactly if Robin concludes that Slade and Joker are one in the same, but his future plans with the new mask are an opening to possibilites. Will he become Nightwing? |
