Wow! I'll admit, I'm not a Hermione/Snape fan, but I figured I'd try it. (I'm a HUUGE Dramione fan. I reasoned that if I like pouty Draco, I'd like pouty Snape too.) I'm still not totally in love with this pairing, but I'm really glad this was the first Hermione/Snape I read; it was awesome! I enjoyed seeing their relationship evolve and Snape's stone exterior begin to crack. Hermione's personality is a pretty perfect for him. I'm so thrilled you put that verse in! 1 Corinthians 13...right? ...I think so. Anyways, I'm just so thrilled when fanfiction writers witness through their fics! I really struggle with witnessing in RL, so I'm trying to witness through fanfiction, too. Amazing job! :D

I've come back again to read this fic...well done. I like your slow progression of their relationship...it's more realistic. I also like how you had Severus think the only reason the Order tolerated him was b/c of his usefulness.

Oh how wonderful it would be to be 18 and have to choose from a list of eligible men to marry...with the name Severus Snape on it:) My favorite part was him waking her up to ask her why she chose him...gives you an insight into his vulnerability.

Really nice story, one of the best takes on the marriage law I have read, an despite the time it has been since it was written it has aged very well. Your take on Voldemort's defeat was very epic, I really liked it, and I really would have preferred to see Ron go, rather than Severus, in the books ;)
