ML Miller Breedlove 2005-09-24 . chapter 17Very enjoyable read. I especially liked General Barton welcoming Glen Miller to "The Club". I've always been a "Big Band" fan. (I've even converted our younger daughter.) Are you planning your next story yet? |
Linda 2005-09-24 . chapter 17 And a lovely monument it was!
Great work on keeping everything in place. And thanks for the info on Glenn Miller himself, I didn't know much about him before you... now I feel much more informed!
Cheers and DO write again! ;)

GSjessica 2005-09-23 . chapter 17A grand conclusion! The addition of General Barton welcoming Miller to the 'club' was delightful. I've said before, but it bears repeating, you created such a vivid and rich flavor of the '40s and of the settings that this was a very fulfilling reading experience on several levels. I literally would hum Glenn Miller music as I read some of the chapters. I don't know much about him as a real person, but I found your portrayal quite convincing.
You know... if you subtracted the 'Hogan's Heroes' references from this story, and altered the scenario a small amount to reflect that, this story could easily stand as a very fine WWII historical novel.
Thanks for sharing your work! |
L J Groundwater 2005-09-19 . chapter 16All this suspense, all this excitement! A real pleasure to read... and two hours to wait to hear he's ok... they would have all been going nuts...
Well done again! |

ML Miller Breedlove 2005-09-17 . chapter 15Wow, what a roller coaster ride you took us on. Lots of action and at least for now things are going as well as can be expected. But with Hochstetter just around the corner can we expect more trouble? |
L J Groundwater 2005-09-04 . chapter 15Another fine chapter... things are finally starting to look up!! |
ML Miller Breedlove 2005-08-29 . chapter 14Oh boy! Hochstetter is like a bad penny, he keeps turning up. What will Fritz do? |

ML Miller Breedlove 2005-08-22 . chapter 13The "ole bait and Switch" still sounds pretty risky to me. Having the Gestapo and SS on their tails sounds pretty scary to me! |
ML Miller Breedlove 2005-08-22 . chapter 12Wow, a lot of running and chasing and turning and dodging. I'm glad it ended well and they have another safe house to hide in. |
