Very enjoyable read. I especially liked General Barton welcoming Glen Miller to "The Club". I've always been a "Big Band" fan. (I've even converted our younger daughter.) Are you planning your next story yet?

And a lovely monument it was!
Great work on keeping everything in place. And thanks for the info on Glenn Miller himself, I didn't know much about him before you... now I feel much more informed!
Cheers and DO write again! ;)

A grand conclusion! The addition of General Barton welcoming Miller to the 'club' was delightful. I've said before, but it bears repeating, you created such a vivid and rich flavor of the '40s and of the settings that this was a very fulfilling reading experience on several levels. I literally would hum Glenn Miller music as I read some of the chapters. I don't know much about him as a real person, but I found your portrayal quite convincing.

You know... if you subtracted the 'Hogan's Heroes' references from this story, and altered the scenario a small amount to reflect that, this story could easily stand as a very fine WWII historical novel.

Thanks for sharing your work!

All this suspense, all this excitement! A real pleasure to read... and two hours to wait to hear he's ok... they would have all been going nuts...
Well done again!

Wow, what a roller coaster ride you took us on. Lots of action and at least for now things are going as well as can be expected. But with Hochstetter just around the corner can we expect more trouble?

The "ole bait and Switch" still sounds pretty risky to me. Having the Gestapo and SS on their tails sounds pretty scary to me!

Wow, a lot of running and chasing and turning and dodging. I'm glad it ended well and they have another safe house to hide in.
