Short yet poetic, not to mention beautiful... yes, this fic was definitely an excellent read. As usual, I liked your style and choice of words. Loved your portrayal of Cid and Seifer, 'cause you've captured their personalities so damn well. Hissed in frustration when the story was over. How about writing something longer next time...? :)

Short and powerful. Seifer's motivations? The darker side of Garden? How Cid sleeps at night? All right here, delivered in a fresh, engaging, and quick fashion.

I know this isn't very substantial criticism, but what can I say? It's good stuff.

I've read more than my share of tragic Seifer fics, but this struck me as being possibly the most poignant and saddening one I've read yet. Seriously.

I'm not sure if it was the simplicity/brevity of the entire piece, the vague allusions to Seifer's personality and his ultimate fate, or the gentle characterization of Cid, but there was something intangible about this fic that just...moved me.

It wasn't overly dramatic, but the lines were powerful and straightforward enough to convey the perfect emotion.

My favorite lines? "You thought you were saving the world, then. The dusty sunbeams turned his golden hair into a halo."
