This was delightful! I loved it, and not just because I am an unapologetic B/G 'shipper. This was tastefully and intelligently written, with everyone very much in-character. Spike's thoughts on the subject made me chuckle; spreading such a rumor is exactly the sort of thing that Cordelia (the old Cordelia) would have done. Since Buffy did spend so much time, much of it alone, with the male school librarian, and since Giles was always very protective of Buffy, etc., I often wondered why, in canon, someone didn't really start such a rumor.
