Suggestion/Warning: Make your authors notes shorter and without any script format dialog, otherwise your stories can get deleted. It's a shame to see good writing framed by such long, distracting, pointless notes, okay?

No, Zelos was definitely in character. I like this one-shot, it was really deep. Even though it wasn't exciting or no plot watsoever, it was okay. Too short for my taste however, way too short. It's almost as long as your author notes, which is a really bad sign. You always try to write more than your author notes. Because whenever I read a short chapter, it shows you don't have enough appreciation for your readers/reviewers. But I will let it go since this was so well done. Though I would have liked a better plot to it. Great work, just not as good as many I have read before. It was okay overall. Keep writing!
