Well, very dark, and an interesting premise. You write very well, the whole piece is pervaded with a sense of foreboding and gloom, and I didn't see the end coming at all, though I was confused about the change in the relationship between Dumbledore and Harry. What's more, the whole in its bittersweet tone fits very neatly with the savage triumph of the final line (you're right, "let slip" is definitely better). Also not too much shagging, which I always find a bonus ;).
